I first saw JD when he performed as a support act to The Moody Blues at Wembley Arena way back in 1971. I was instantly impressed and I have always enjoyed his music. So much so that it was while listening to his albums that I decided to pick up and learn how to play guitar in the first place. Since those early days of his solo career he released a staggering 26 studio albums plus many other compilation and live recordings until his untimely death in 1997 due to a fatal plane crash while flying his own light aircraft.

Testimonials

Thank you so much for your support during our inaugural Bandstand event for the Harwich Festival over the last week. Without you taking part there would not have been a show. We pulled off some great events together and I am pleased to have met you and worked with you. I do hope we can keep in touch - you never know when I might have another slot for you to fill ! In the meantime, thank you again and I look forward to working with you again in the near future.

Many thanks to you for coming to perform for us at the Slack Folk session yesterday. It was a very good afternoon and your performance made a substantial contribution to its success.

I thought your performance was excellent and your selection of music went down really well.      I hope that you enjoyed the performance as much as I and the rest of the audience did.

Referring to self penned D-Day song "Blood in the Sand"

Amazing words Ian. Your track Blood in the Sand is emotional for me.

You must be very proud! Anyone listening must listen through to the end!

Below is a recording of my chat with Liz Mullen at the BFBS radio station in Colchester.

The interview and part of the song "Blood in the Sand"

was broadcast globally on the British forces network.
